In 1956, tens of thousands of brave women marched to fight the oppressive laws. Today, many brave women continue to fight to liberate our gender. Each woman’s fight may look different, but there is often one heart-breaking similarity. These women forget about themselves: they are always so strong, holding things together, putting themselves last (if at all). It is important to remember that one cannot pour from an empty cup. The most powerful action a woman can take is that of self care. True self care is the first step on the journey to freedom.
True self care looks different for everyone, but the power of mindfulness and meditation cannot be denied. For some, the idea of sitting still for ten minutes is daunting – maybe even impossible at this point. If you can relate, I encourage you to listen to this guided meditation whilst moving the body through slow gentle stretches or any movement that feels good. If even that is overwhelming, listen to it while you are folding laundry, cooking dinner or brushing your teeth. I trust that eventually you will find the still you need.
Cat is the face behind Bodhi. She is passionate about the connection between the mind, body and soul and helping others find the magic that comes with the balance of these aspects. She has a background in various dance forms, human anatomy and physiology, basic exercise science and comprehensive Pilates. She is an Advanced ThetaHealer® and a Lyno® Method practitioner. She is obsessed with the fascial system. All these aspects combine in her Mindful Movement and Meditation sessions. She is on a journey of discovery whilst living her best life with the combination of her past and present knowledge and passion.
Her dream is that she can assist others in finding peace, joy, and a love for life. She believes our busy and stressful lives often cause us merely to go through the mundane motions of each day without being present and truly living. It is for this reason that she hopes to support others on their journey of self-awareness and understanding.
